We believe the items we sell are some of the best babywearing items and accessories on the market. However we understand that sometimes a product might need to be returned. If you are not happy with your purchase through our store, then we may be able to refund you or exchange it for a different colour, size or product. Read our returns policy to see the conditions for returning an item, and learn how to request a return.

What is your returns policy?

Products purchased at Slings and Things can be refunded or exchanged subject to the following conditions:

  • A request for a refund or return is made within 14 days of receipt of your order. If a request for a refund (either full or partial) or a return is made after 14 days of receipt of your order, we will unfortunately not be able to accept your request. You have up to 30 days to return your goods.
  • The product is returned in an “as new” condition - with all original packaging and instructions. If an item shows signs of wear or is returned without packaging, you will be unable to exchange it, but a partial refund may be offered at our discretion. If the product was damaged in transit, please let us know and return it with the original mailing bag so we can seek compensation from the delivery company.
  • The cost of return postage to Slings and Things is incurred by the customer. Arranging return of unwanted goods is your responsibility. We would recommend that you return your items using a signed for service. Please take care choosing postage methods for higher value items over £50 as we cannot accept liability for goods lost by your postal service or courier. Note - We will cover postage charges where a product is damaged or faulty on arrival; please contact us in this instance and we will arrange the return of your goods. Please note - full postal refunds only applies to UK/EU orders. 

Should the above conditions be fulfilled we will refund your item value. Non inclusive postal charges (i.e. Royal Mail Special Delivery, UPS etc) are optional service charges and will not be refunded. Gift Cards are also exempt from refunds.

How do I return an item or get a refund?

Please read our returns policy above to see if you are eligable to return an item or get a refund on your purchase. Please DO NOT return items without notifying us in advance as you may not recieve a refund or exchange if items are damaged or missing in transit.

    You can request to return an item by emailing us at Please be sure to include in your email:

    • Your order number (this will be printed on the invoice you recieved via email, and packaged with your order).
    • The product you are requesting to return, and
    • The reason you are requesting to return the product.

    We will respond as soon as possible to start processing your request.

    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. We aim to do this within 72 hours of receiving your item.

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

    If we've approved and confirmed a refund and you haven’t received it yet please check with your bank or credit card company; there is often some processing time before a refund will land on your statement. If you’ve done this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at


    If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
