January News - Shopping and more!

So, what's been happening in January at Slings and Things HQ (general family life aside)?

Firstly, of course....

Shopping shopping shopping!

We've bagged some beauties for our woven wrap collection! Lenny Lamb Rainbow Peptika (left - from £86.95) and Colours of Life (right - from £79.95) have been two of our particular favourites. One bold rainbow houndstooth, one subtle springy print, both 100% cotton. Also available as ring slings and ergonomic carriers.

Moving onto buckle carriers, we're always keeping our eyes on the Tula-verse and as soon as the Tulasaurus was spotted we knew we just had to have some more dinos on our shelves! Tulasaurus (pictured left) will be flying over from the USA in the next couple of weeks and we'll be announcing on Facebook when we're ready to take orders. Also arriving in soon after the dino-dudes is Equilateral - because who doesn't love the simplicity of a geometric print? :)

Celebrating #teamgirasol

We would like to thank our customers for supporting the Girasol brand this month.....you have bought and the feedback has been wonderful :)

When you buy a Girasol wrap, you are supporting traditional hand-weaving communities in Guatamala and Mexico. Girasol are deeply committed to sourcing their textiles based on fair trade principles and have built personal relationships with the weavers over the past 30 years!

Our family has loved Girasol fabrics since we first started working with them 5 years ago (see left, our youngest daughter, Ellie, napping away in our Light Rainbow Diamond Weave shortie!) We particularly love them for their unique rainbow stripes. More recently, we've also developed a love for the new thick weave which has a double weft thread for increased support. This is available for Earthy Rainbow (twill and diamond weave, see picture on right!) Northern Lights and Boy or Girl designs. We hope to increase this range in the future.

Planning ahead

Of course, January is a time of new beginnings and we've been hard at work looking at competitions, giveaways, surprises and ranges for the year ahead. We're not ready to announce these just yet but keep your eyes peeled. We definitely feel a giveaway coming on for February.....

Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoy the rest of winter snuggled up with your tinies/toddlers (delete as appropriate)!
